This thoughtful transformation of a traditional three-storey stone semi-detached home created a stunning two-storey rear extension designed for modern family living. Carefully detailed to knit seamlessly with the existing building, the extension feels like a natural continuation of the original home. The new open-plan kitchen, dining and family space is flooded with natural light from a striking lantern roof, complemented by a beautifully crafted kitchen by Buxton Woodworks.
Upstairs, the extension provides a generous bedroom and dedicated study area with roof light, while the bathroom refurbishment involved the careful rebuilding of external walls. Additional features include a new downstairs bathroom, cleverly concealed under-stairs storage, and a fantastic outdoor entertaining space. Working closely with building contractor Gary Cannon and the clients, Wylie Architecture replaced a small existing outbuilding with a spacious, light-filled extension that has transformed the home for the whole family.
