Wylie Architecture designed a versatile garden room set within the grounds of a traditional stone cottage, creating valuable additional space for a growing family while offering privacy for a teenage son. Conceived as a flexible, multi-functional building, it can serve as a home office, gym, spare bedroom or Airbnb accommodation.
The compact structure was carefully crafted in stone and slate to complement the existing cottage, with bi-fold doors opening onto the garden to maximise light and connection to the outdoors. Despite its modest footprint, the design incorporates generous storage, a compact bathroom, and a bright, spacious interior, delivering a highly efficient and adaptable living space.
