Indoor Golf Practice Facility at Cavendish Golf Club
Planning approval was successfully secured for a new indoor golf practice facility at Cavendish Golf Club in Buxton, carefully integrated within its tranquil, tree-lined setting. Surrounded by mature woodland, the single-storey building was designed to sit discreetly within the landscape, with a deliberately low roofline that responds to the canopy of trees and ensures the structure remains subservient to the historic clubhouse and pro shop.
The material palette was thoughtfully matched to the existing 1920s buildings, reinforcing a cohesive architectural language across the site. Internally, the facility provides a generous, open training space, balancing spatial quality with a sensitive external presence.
